Frequently asked questions
Privacy, data protection, and who we are. Can't find what you need? Contact us.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We encrypt data in transit with TLS and work with infrastructure providers under data-processing agreements that meet GDPR expectations. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising. Pods uses only essential session cookies for authentication — no tracking or ad cookies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
When you delete your account in Pods, personal data tied to your profile is permanently removed within 30 days. Certain anonymised or aggregated data may be kept for analytics that cannot identify you. If you need help, contact privacy@wavepeople.io.
How do I use my GDPR rights?
Under GDPR you can access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data. Many actions are available directly in the Pods app. For anything you cannot do yourself, email privacy@wavepeople.io Read our GDPR page and Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Is Pods a “vibe coding” project?
No. Pods is production software designed, built, and maintained by professional engineers — with typed codebases, review practices, and architecture meant to last. Authentication, data ownership, and privacy are part of the product, not an afterthought. We use modern tools, including AI assistants, the way serious teams do: to move faster inside a disciplined engineering process, not to replace it.
Who’s behind Pods?
Pods is built by WavePeople— a company focused on software for people who live for the ocean: divers connecting with each other, and dive centers running their operations. Pods is the consumer app; our Divemaster platform serves dive centers. Learn more at wavepeople.io.
