These are the rules for using Pods. We've written them to be readable. If something isn't clear, reach out — we're happy to explain.
Acceptance of terms
By creating an account and using Pods, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users of the Pods platform.
Description of service
Pods is a platform for divers to manage their diving profile, find dive buddies, organise dive activities ("pods"), log dives, store certifications and documents, and communicate with other divers. Pods is provided by WavePeople.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Pods. By using the service you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. Pods is intended for recreational and professional divers and dive-related professionals.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or use the account of another user. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Pods to: post false or misleading information; harass, threaten, or abuse other users; use hate speech or abusive content; upload content that infringes third-party rights; attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the platform; copy or reproduce any part of the code, branding, or proprietary materials of Pods; access or use information about other users without their explicit consent; use Pods logos, designs, screenshots, or marketing materials without permission; or use the service for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Content you provide
You retain ownership of content you upload to Pods (logbook entries, photos, certifications, etc.). By uploading content, you grant WavePeople a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.
Service availability
Pods is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. During beta, the service may change, features may be added or removed, and occasional downtime may occur. We will communicate material changes in advance where reasonably possible.
Beta disclaimer
Pods is currently in beta. This means some features are still being developed, refined, or stabilised. You may encounter bugs, errors, or incomplete functionality. We appreciate your patience and feedback during this phase.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WavePeople is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Pods. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (if any). You acknowledge and agree that: (1) Pods does not verify, vet, or validate the identity, qualifications, certifications, or trustworthiness of users. We provide a platform to connect divers, but we do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of user-provided information. (2) You are responsible for exercising caution and judgment when interacting with other users, including before meeting, communicating with, or diving with any other user. (3) All diving activities carry inherent risk. Pods does not provide diving instruction, supervision, or safety advice. You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable diving safety procedures, regulations, and best practices, and for assessing the qualifications and experience of any dive buddy before diving together. (4) WavePeople is not responsible for any injury, death, property damage, or other harm arising from your diving activities or your interactions with other users. (5) We encourage you to report any suspicious, unlawful, or dangerous behaviour. We may, but are not obligated to, review, investigate, or take action based on such reports.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, including any legal retention obligations.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel. If we establish a company in a different jurisdiction in the future, this section may be updated accordingly. Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Pods after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
